Our news

Days, years, and centuries go by. People and ages change. It's only memory that keeps greatness of the days past, history of bygone events, wisdom and courage of heroes. Memory and pieces of history the time has preserved for us …

On June 19 – 21, Svit Zory visited an old legendary city of Kamenets-Podolskiy. The Flower on Stone is another name of the ancient Kamenets-Podolskiy. Its location near frontiers of several states made of the city a symbol of power for many centuries. With the lapse of time, a castle had risen up in the city. This unique defense facility was being built from 11th to 17th century on a rocky headland. The might of Kamenets-Podolskiy's fortifications impressed both travelers and enemies. Its stone walls covered with antiquity, its svelte towers with loopholes, its deep defense ditches have told us about remote events of those ages.

Not far away from that, there is another, not less a formidable sentinel – the castle of Khotyn. Its walls, silent shadows of history, are singing for ages the praises of the immortal name of Sagaydachniy.

Our trip has finished in the settlement of Krivche in Ternopol region. It was an enthralling tour under ground - to The Crystalline Cave, a frozen fairy tale of rock crystal, where crystals, pillars of stalactites and stalagmites twinkle.

Svit Zory team continues its travels to picturesque places of Ukraine.  This time, St. Nickolas day was celebrated in hospitable Transcarphathia.  Absolutely unique nature of this land is closely tied with its unique historic past.  In 2 days, we visited Mukachevo with its ancient castle Palanok, Uzhgorod with its sights and Uzhgorod castle, the small town of Beregovo famous all over Europe for its thermal springs and vine cellars.  We enjoyed exquisite Hungarian food and the taste of Transcarpathian wine.

On June, 15 Ukraine celebrated the Medical Worker Day.

14-16.06.2008 the Svit Zory team went for a trip to the picturesque land of rivers and lakes - blue-eyed Volyn.
At first we visited the capital of Volyn – the glorious city of Lutsk. We walked along the streets of the old city, had a look at the Roman-Catholic and Orthodox churches, visited the museum of bells, museum of books and museum-pharmacy.
But the most interesting for us was an excursion on the ancient Lyubert’s castle, which was built in XIV century. The majestic walls of the castle keep the spirit of the ancient times, hold the great number of legends and stories, and also they open the magic panorama of the city.
Our trip finished in the extreme north-west point of Ukraine, where there is a pearl of Volyn: the lake Svityaz. It is the largest one among 22 lakes of Shatsky National Park. For its area, beauty and uniqueness Svityaz is fairly named the «Ukrainian Baykal».

21-23.12.2007 the staff of Svit Zory visited the beautiful city of Lviv. The trip was dedicated to corporate celebration of New Year.

During two-day city tour we learned the history of the glorious city, saw its main historical landmarks, enjoyed the unique architecture and glory of cathedrals and churches. We visited Beer Museum, City History Museum, the oldest pharmacy, Arms Museum etc. We were lucky to enjoy the sight of evening Lviv from the observation deck of the City Hall and, of course, savored divine Lviv coffee.
